Fascism expert Jason Stanley stated that Donald Trump’s Veterans Day pledge to purge the “vermin” radical left closely resembled Adolf Hitler’s rhetoric in “Mein Kampf,” and argued that the language used would be perceived as directed against Jews by any antisemite.
Trump’s vow to eliminate left-wing groups and make America great again was compared to Hitler’s manifesto.
The expert emphasized the historical comparison and the dangerous implications of such rhetoric.

MSNBC’s Mehdi Hasan asked if he was “wrong to make the historical comparison to antisemitic propaganda during the Nazi years.”
Yale University professor and “fascism expert” Jason Stanley responded, “No. It doesn’t echo ‘Mein Kampf’ ― this is textbook ‘Mein Kampf.’”
“Any antisemite will hear this vocabulary as directed against Jews,” he argued.
“The threat from outside forces is far less sinister, dangerous, and grave, than the threat from within,” the Republican 2024 front-runner said.
“Despite the hatred and anger of the Radical Left Lunatics who want to destroy our Country, we will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
