Pro-Palestinian demonstrators confronted Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at a Vancouver restaurant, demanding a ceasefire.
Around 250 protesters gathered outside another establishment. Police intervened, and two people were taken into custody.
“The Prime Minister was inside the restaurant at the time, and our officers assisted in controlling the crowd so he could leave,” Vancouver Police Sgt. Steve Addison said. (Trending: Jury Reaches Verdict In Paul Pelosi Hammer Case)
Justin Trudeau, using his ‘serious voice’ and citing reports he got from Hamas, warns Israel to stand down in Gaza. Right. Netanyahu responded and, very diplomatically, told him to go pound sand in so many words. #IsraelFightsBack #TrudeauNationalDisgrace @JustinTrudeau… pic.twitter.com/KFFhZ6Srkt

Trudeau’s recent criticism of Israel’s military actions in Gaza drew rebuke from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who argued that Hamas, not Israel, was responsible for civilian harm and should be held accountable for war crimes.
“While Israel is doing everything to keep civilians out of harm’s way, Hamas is doing everything to keep them in harm’s way,” Netanyahu pressed.
“Israel provides civilians in Gaza humanitarian corridors and safe zones, Hamas prevents them from leaving at gunpoint.”
“It is Hamas not Israel that should be held accountable for committing a double war crime – targeting civilians while hiding behind civilians.”
